Ainol Amriz Ismail has over 30 years of experience in the industry and his stature as a part time lecturer for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is only a fraction of his background. He was a part time lecturer at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) with a focus on War Journalism. He has worked with the United Nations (UN) as one of their media practitioners and expanded his horizons to Bosnia Herzegovina. He was also one of the frontliners in Lebanon, Palestine and Egypt, to name a few. His credibility is rounded off after the government certified him as a Ste. (Assoc), which is only given to industry experts. With his credibility and expertise, he will be enlightening the audience about satire accounts, fake news and the rise of citizen journalism in the era.

As a journalist and news announcer, Ashwad Ismail has had a fair share of experiences in the industry from his debut on national television during AWANI’s launch in 2007 to being held hostage in Israel. The well-decorated Managing Editor has covered stories that know no boundaries such as national elections, natural disasters and international conflicts. His experience will provide insight to  the current journalistic spectrum, which comprises covering stories tied to the pandemic and what to expect from present conditions.

Across the border, we are honoured to welcome Andari Karina, who has been a journalist for TEMPO magazine, Indonesia for 16 years with her recent publications centred on political and investigative stories in her home country. In 2012, she initiated her teaching career as a part time lecturer for University of Indonesia and Binus University International in the communication program. After becoming a full time faculty member, she is currently appointed as the Head of the Communication Program. Her vast experience can be of wisdom to the audience, sharing the escapades of journalism in Indonesia and how it looks on their side of the world.
